The high-rolling televangelist has been The Donald’s unofficial adviser ever since, even joining him onstage in Washington at his Jan. 20 inauguration. She is also slated to chair his administration’s “Evangelical Advisory Board.”
Spirituality and a pair of failed marriages aren’t the only things White-Cain and The Donald have in common. Her moneymaking ministry was investigated by Congress in 2007, but no charges came from the inquiry.
The Daily Beast compared White-Cain’s ministry to “the church version of Trump University” in a 2016 article that points out that White’s website, which remains operational, posts sermons including one called “Why God Wants You Wealthy.” In 2006, Trump co-authored a book called “Why We Want You to be Rich.”
The wheel in the sky keeps on turning. who plays Oleg in “The Americans,” was a toddler in the Russian city of Kaliningrad during the Cold War period depicted in the show, so he’s been able to get plenty of insights from talking to his parents. “It was very different from where we are today and growing up on that side of the Iron Curtain was different,” Ronin (inset) told us at the FX upfronts at the SVA Theater. “We had different values and different perspectives, and being able to talk to my family about it was amazing. It was like a puzzle, adding pieces.”
