6th bust in gang beating on teen

COPS HAVE arrested a sixth suspect in a shocking caught-on-video Easter Sunday gang attack on a defenseless teenager in Coney Island, officials said Wednesday.

Police busted Fabian Abney, 17, on Tuesday for the April 16 attack that left a 16-year-old boy in the hospital for two days with a collapsed lung, officials said.

Abney joins a list of teens who allegedly took part in the stomping in the middle of Surf Ave., which someone recorded with their cell phone and put on Facebook. Abney was charged with gang assault and unlawful assembly, officials said.

He was ordered held on $30,000 bail following a brief arraignment Wednesday.

Also charged are Maleek Mayers, 16, and Jahcorei Lewis, 17, as well as a 14-year-old girl and two 15-year-old boys, officials said. Mayers and Lewis were arrested April 20 on the same charges as Abney.

Police sources said the victim knows his attackers, who beat him once before, though he did not report that incident.
