THE OLD Man and the tweet.

President Trump’s former campaign manager said the Tweeter-in-Chief is a 140-character Ernest Hemingway, after he used the medium to sling vicious personal attacks against MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski and her “Morning Joe” co-host, Joe Scarborough.

“He’s the Ernest Hemingway of Twitter,” Corey Lewandowski said on Fox News’ “Hannity” Friday night.

“We’ve seen it many times,” Lewandowski said of Trump’s in-your-face tweets.

“He’s taken down his opponents on Twitter many times. You can ask Little Marco or Lyin’ Ted or Crooked Hillary . . . or Low-Energy Jeb, we all know the names,” he added. “When you oppose Donald Trump, beware of his 100 million social media followers.”

Whether Lewandowski’s comparison of Trump’s tweets referred to Hemingway’s signature brevity, insults against rival William Faulkner or arrogance remained unclear.

Hemingway, though, was also for a time what Trump has called an “enemy of the American people,” working as a reporter for the Kansas City Star.

But the self-proclaimed billionaire and the late literary giant, who wrote “The Old Man and the Sea” and “The Sun Also Rises,” weighed in on some of the same topics across their respective careers. Here’s a sampling: On listening: Hemingway: “When people talk listen completely. Most people never listen.” Trump: “I just realized that if you listen to Carly Fiorina for more than 10 minutes straight, you develop a massive headache. She has zero chance!” On writing: Hemingway: “You see it’s awfully hard to talk or write about your own stuff because if it is any good you yourself know about how good it is — but if you say so yourself you feel like a sh-t.” Trump: “It’s amazing how many people still come up to me to thank me for ‘The Art of The Deal.’ The book has changed a lot of lives.” On war: Hemingway: “Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime.” Trump: “When you are in a war, or even a battle, losing is not an option!”
