HOUSTON — Aaron Judge will have plenty of company in Miami. Gary Sanchez, Starlin Castro, Luis Severino and Dellin Betances were all selected to the AL All-Star team. Judge was voted in as a starter. Like Judge, Sanchez (.904 OPS, 13 homers) will be an All-Star for the first time in his career. The 24-year-old catcher overcame a 21-game absence due to a right biceps injury to make the team.

Castro (hamstring) doesn’t know if he’ll be able to participate yet. This is his fourth All-Star selection, and first since 2014 with the Cubs. The 27-year-old second baseman has an .835 OPS with 12 homers.

Severino, 23, will be going to his first All-Star Game as well. After going 0-8 with an 8.50 ERA in 11 starts in 2016, the righty with electric stuff worked on his mechanics with Pedro Martinez during the offseason and has been solid in the first half, going 5-4 with a 3.52 ERA in 16 starts.

Betances, 29, the elder statesman of the group, will be making his fourth consecutive All-Star appearance. He has a 3.12 ERA with 48 strikeouts in 26 innings. Didi Gregorius could make it six Yankees in Miami. He will be part of the Final Vote. Gregorius, 27, didn’t make his season debut until April 28 due to a right shoulder injury he suffered in an exhibition game before the World Baseball Classic. But he’s rebounded to post an .822 OPS with 10 homers. It would be Gregorius’ first All-Star game if he makes it.

Judge and Sanchez have both been invited to participate in the Home Run Derby, although neither has made a decision on the event as of yet.
