Just two weeks ago, concern began to grow surroundin­g the status of Aroldis Chapman after the $86 million closer squandered a one-run lead in the ninth inning in Boston for his second straight blown save.

Those worries now seem unfounded as Chapman hurled a scoreless ninth, while reaching 103 mph on the Stadium radar gun, during the Yankees’ 5-4 win on Saturday over Tampa Bay.

Chapman stranded the go-ahead run at third for the final out of the ninth to earn the win — his second in as many appearance­s — and he hasn’t allowed a hit in his last three outings.

“I felt normal out there, it’s not like I’m doing anything different,” Chapman said through his translator. “I think it’s just one of those days where the velocity is higher. But I felt good, I felt really good out there.”

Chapman (4-1, 3.03 ERA) has made eight appearance­s since walking home the winning run with the bases loaded on July 14 at Fenway. The closer has tossed nine innings, allowing just one run on three hits with nine strikeouts, while converting four straight save opportunit­ies.

“He’s throwing the ball extremely well,” Joe Girardi said. “It looks like he’s starting to get on a roll and you want to keep that going.”
