1800s skull is dug up
WHAT APPEARS to be a piece of a human skull dating to the 19th century was found Thursday morning at a SoHo construction site, police sources said. What appears to be about half of a human skull (inset) was unearthed about 9 a.m. during a parking lot excavation on Greene St. near Canal St.
A source said the medical examiner’s office estimated the skull belonged to a person who lived in the 1800s.
