Prison for rob spree in Queens
AN ALLEGED Bloods member was sentenced to 15 years in prison Wednesday for a shooting and gunpoint stickups in two boroughs, prosecutors said.
Shukri Johnson, 21, pleaded guilty to the string of violent crimes last month in exchange for the stiff sentence.
Prosecutors said Johnson wore a mask while holding up workers in a string of cell phone stores and a pharmacy on Northern Blvd., Liberty Ave. and Springfield Blvd. in Queens between October and January.
He took cash and phones from the wireless shops, and narcotics from the drug store he targeted, prosecutors said. In one instance, a worker was pistolwhipped, the Queens DA said.
Johnson also admitted to shooting a 25-year-old rival in the back and hip on an elevator on Dec. 30, 2016, prosecutors said.
His attorney declined to comment Thursday.
