WHAT WOULD his mother think?

An ex-con with an “I love Mom” tattoo on his arm was busted for groping a 14-year-old girl in a Brooklyn subway station, police said Tuesday.

Tracey Galloway, a level three sex offender who has served three stints in state prison, was arrested about 4:10 p.m. Monday shortly after allegedly grabbing the teen’s buttocks as she walked up stairs at the Broadway Junction station in Brownsville. A nearby NYPD officer, Jay Mateo, arrested Galloway, 43, who also has Scripture inked on his body.

“Mr. Galloway’s record is not great, but note that his last arrest was 10 years ago, he’s been out for seven years, which shows he’s changing his life,” his Legal Aid lawyer, who wouldn’t give her name, said at his arraignment Tuesday.

Galloway (photo), who lives in a halfway house on Hancock St. in Bushwick, has nine prior arrests — one for unauthorized use of a vehicle and the rest for sex crimes, police sources said.

His neighbors said they don’t know him and generally steer clear of the halfway house.

“I heard all kinds of people live there, sex offenders. It’s not good,” said Edwin Rodriguez, 31, a father of two.

Galloway’s sick series of crimes began in 1989 when he was just 15. He was busted for sex abuse twice within three weeks in Queens, sources said. He was arrested again in 1993, 1995 and 2000 and in 2001, he was sentenced to up to seven years behind bars for groping a 13-year-old girl and a 33-yearold woman in a East Harlem housing complex .

Five weeks after his release from prison in 2007, he was nabbed in Midtown for persistent sex abuse and got 21/2 years in prison. Galloway served the full sentence and stayed out of trouble until Monday’s arrest.

Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Kesha Espinal ordered him held on $15,000 bail.
