A HOTHEADED motorist could have gone home with a simple ticket — but instead he followed a cop to a pair of traffic stops in Queens and then challenged him to a fight, police said.

Jacques Moghraby (right) was pulled over around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on Queens Blvd. near 63rd Drive in Rego Park. He got a ticket for making an improper turn — a citation that carries a $150 fine.

Moghraby allegedly followed Officer Shahid Shah as he stopped two more motorists in the area. Each time, he parked behind the cop’s cruiser and used his cell phone to film the ofiicer, poilce said.

The angry motorist cursed a blue streak at the 10-year NYPD veteran, police said.

Moghraby, reached by the Daily News Wednesday, after a brief court appearance, admitted dropping an F-bomb and some other choice words. But he insisted the stop was bogus and has threatened to sue. He also denies tailing Shah after the initial traffic stop.

“I didn’t follow him,” he told The News. “After the ticket, me and my brother were talking about it and we saw him again. I yelled, “Real good job, a--hole! I’m going to the precinct right now to report your f---ing a--.”

Moghraby, 30, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was released on a conditional dis- charge. His record will be expunged if he stays out of trouble for a year.

“I made a right on Queens Blvd.,” Moghraby said, still heated hours after leaving the courth house. “Where’s the s sign or any indicat tion that I can’t m make a right? (Shah) comes back w with a ticket. Why c can’t he just let me g go?”

Police said Moghr raby took it too far.

“Let’s take your g gun belt and shield off and see who is the real man!” Moghraby screamed at the cop, according to police.

But instead of slugging it out, Shah slapped the cuffs on Moghraby, charging him with menacing, harassment, stalking and ob- struction of governmental administration, cops said. It was Moghraby’s first arrest in the city, cops said.

“I’m thankful,” Moghraby said. “(I’m) very lucky it was just disorderly conduct.”

When told about police claims against him, Moghraby called Shah a “pathological liar,” but admitted he blew his stack when he received his ticket.

“My mom knows I have a short temper with these cops,” he said, adding that he believes Shah arrested him because the cop couldn’t give out a ticket for receiving a bruised ego.

“It shows how hypocritical he is to the extreme,” Moghraby said. “But I guess he got his revenge.”
