By getting , “Busy on the Blvd”, the Southern Blvd BID hosted Salsa in the Park series in the warmer months and workshops to support our small businesses.

Our Salsa i n the Park Concer t serie s, where loc al re sident s enjoy the music of live bands while l earning how to dance salsa and keep in shape. The Southern Blvd BID hosted one of the largest Hurricane/ Ear thquake relief drive s in the city this year contributing to donation of over 20 0 million pounds of food and water to Puer to Ric o! T he BID also hosted its annual Music on the Boulevard Festival to celebrate Back to School, where over 3,0 0 0 people j oined i n at tendance and the BID gave away of over 350 back to school supplie s and over 4 0 0 Free Haircut s. The spirit of giving continues on December 16th, when the Southern Boulevard BID will host its 5th Annual Winter Coat drive in partnership with Ponce Bank, through which we distribute over 800 brand-new free coats to local kids. For half a dec ade, the Southern Blvd has led the charge and stands solely a s the only BID with a community giveback event of this magnitude.
