Monster Manson’s destination

-

Fresh Meadows: Now that mass murderer Charles Manson has died, I hope that he will rot in the depths of Hades, for that is where he certainly deserves to go. The world will be a much better place now that this poor excuse for a human being is no longer with us. The heinous crimes of brutal murder that he committed against Sharon Tate and the LaBianca family was unprecedented at that time. Now he has justly met his hellish reward. Burn, Charles, burn! John Amato South Wellfleet, Mass.: I just have one question for Charles Manson: How hot is it? Good riddance. Mike Rice Scranton, Pa.: Charles Manson finally met his fate. His followers killed many victims, including actress Sharon Tate. The pain and suffering he caused was deep and great. Too bad he outlived them by several years — to be exact, 48. Vin Morabito Brooklyn: Putting Charles Manson’s image on your front page takes the tabloid credo “If it bleeds, it leads” too far and is a waste of space. I’d rather see a story about New York’s excessive rat problem. A one-line obituary for that animal would have been sufficient. Neil S. Friedman

The write stuff

Ventura, Calif.: In her Nov. 18 Op-Ed, “Bring back cursive in all public schools,” Sheena Hervey cites a 2012 white paper. There is also a 2016 white paper backing cursive from the American Handwriting Analysis Foundation, a 50-year-old nonprofit, of which I am president. We need cursive training in schools. Gentleman hedgehog

Louisville, Ky.: I worked in adult films with Ron Jeremy in the 1980s and sure, he was a little “gropey.” I agree with his assessment that he is not a part of the same culture as Weinstein, Louis C.K. or President “Grab ’em by the p---y.” He is Ron Freakin’ Jeremy, with a rep to uphold (which can’t be that easy at our age). On the job, it was not unusual for Ron to want a little “prep time” before performing, but I never knew him to be abusive or coercive. Socially, I found him to an excellent host during a visit to New York. Back at my hotel at the end of the evening, he made a pass. I simply said, “Nah, I’m not up for it tonight.” End of story. Use your words, porn ladies: He wants to have casual sex, not make you hate him. Sharon Kelly

Test all the lies

Scarborough, N.Y.: Let’s end this tiring, and unproductive, backand-forth on what Roy Moore did, or did not do. Moore and all of his accusers should submit unconditionally to lie detector tests performed by a nationally recognized expert. Then let the chips fall where they may.

Two-tongued Trump

Monroe, N.Y.: President Trump is one to talk. He knows where the hands goes next: in the p---y. I’ve said since the beginning of his reign as President; all the people with allegations against them for sexual harassment should know that it is now condoned. Our Electoral College decided that last year via the American people. When a name comes up of a man or woman, with influence or not, accused of sexual mischief, I am not shocked nor surprised anymore. We’ve set the tone for the next three years. It’s horrible if this is true, but not according to our society as a whole. When I listen to NPR and hear men and women call with complaints on Trumpism, but in the same breath say they voted for Trump to “drain the swamp” and they put his sexual misbehavior to the side for his policies — I get ticked off! You’re essentially saying sexual harassment, racism and all the Trumpistic actions are fine because he can do the job. People get fired for that. Would you condone a priest — who inappropriately touched your child — because you like how interactive he is in his sermons? America, wake up. We are what we complain about. Alex Woo

Family affairs

Brooklyn: His grandfather ran a whorehouse (“Trump slams Al ‘Frankenstien’ for groping photo,” Nov. 17). He’s an accused rapist and admitted sexual predator. When it comes to sexual misconduct, the occupant of the Oval Office should keep his mouth shut. This is a huge pot of disgusting calling a tiny kettle of stupid black. Ilsa Ruthen

Whom to believe?

Brooklyn: We have Mitch McConnell stating that he believes women he has never met. What faith by the Swamp Leader of women who have coincidentally come forward four decades (yes, four decades) later at the same time Roy Moore is running for Senate with fabricated evidence at best. I hope the Democrats, who would do anything to gain the Alabama Senate seat, have now learned after the Al Franken “photographed” revelation the old adage — be careful for that which you pray! David DiBello

Paid to say you played

Brooklyn: I do not understand why there is an ever-increasing number of women suddenly saying something about being groped by well-known people. For one, I’m tired about hearing someone say, “What about so and so?” That does nothing but change the argument. But I’ll wager almost anything that there are a number of people in the House, Senate and elsewhere who have also groped someone. And I would not be surprised if someone in one party pays someone to make the claim against someone in the other party. I’m not saying it’s true; I’m just saying I would not be surprised. And yes, Donald Trump should have been included by The News (“Perv Nation,” Nov. 11). Ronald Cohen

Where are the Trump victims?

Bronx: So many women are coming out on “Me Too” to finally put powerful men in their place and out of the positions of power as they have been used to. I am very proud of these women. You go, girls, and more power to you. However, we do not hear very much about the women who have been abused by President Trump. We know there are many of them out there and some have come forward, but our media does not tell us as much about them as they do those women abused by others. After all, Trump as much as admitted that he is an abuser in his comments to Billy Bush. Ladies, come out of hiding and let him have it. Give him a taste of the humiliation he gave to you. Let the country know what kind of pervert was elected into the highest office of the land.

Anna Maria McCorry

Out for the money

Central Islip, L.I.: Why don’t these women knock it off with their lies of being “abused” by famous people 10, 20 or more years ago? It’s obvious they are doing this for money. And if they did sleep with a famous person in the beginning of their career, it was to advance their career and was their choice — so they were the guilty party. This woman claiming to have been raped by Sylvester Stallone in 1986 (30 years ago!) is the biggest joke/con yet. Thomas Sarc

Two shots of hypocrisy

Forest Hills: Two things: 1) Ivanka Trump saying that Roy Moore should go to hell needs to look at her daddy first — or does she have the same memory problems as everybody else in this administration? I guess she forgot what he said on “Access Hollywood” during his campaign — that he can touch any woman’s “p” because of who he is. 2) In the Calif. Dept. of Corrections & Rehabilitation Nov. 16 “Confidential,” you reprinted the cover of Maxim magazine showing a model’s butt. Stop reporting on women making accusations (you never print proof) while you are still printing pictures of half-naked women in your paper. Sherri Rosen

Dating a teen no crime

Bethlehem, Pa.: I am amazed that no one has brought up that the age of consent in Alabama is 16. My experience, as a woman, always was a man who took you out might just try and kiss you. I am old and liberated. When young, if I didn’t welcome a man’s advances, I told him so. Trying to kiss and possibly fondle, doesn’t seem a crime. Forcing to kiss or fondle is — obviously! A 14-yearold, a rape, etc. are different. But Moore committed no crime if he was just dating young women of the age of consent. What was the age of consent back then?

Jean Collins

Moore of the same hypocrisy

Tampa, Fla.: Roy Moore reminds me of the old Burt Lancaster movie “Elmer Gantry,” depicting the Bible-thumping itinerant preacher of old who, while preaching great fire and brimstone, was secretly bedding every woman, young and old, that he encountered. He also comes to mind when reading the New Testament portion of the Bible in Matthew where Christ strongly denounces the Pharisees for their hypocrisy. Brother Roy would have been a Pharisee leader, no doubt. Chuck Hudson
