mentioned the plaintiff’s name publicly in any context . . . . This was absolutely not a case of sexual harassment,” Newman said.

The amount of money Bernstein received through the settlement is not known.

The Times reported that the settlements with six women totaled about $45 million — including one for $32 million.

Bernstein says in her suit she was not a source for investigative stories on O’Reilly’s behavior.

Mullin told the Daily News that O’Reilly counted on the women to honor the nondisclosure agreement that the host did not honor.

“This is another way of shutting women up,” Mullin said, calling O’Reilly “a bully.”

Bernstein’s suit names both Fox News and O’Reilly as defendants and seeks damages to be determined at trial for breach of contract, defamation and other claims.

“O’Reilly portrayed Bernstein in a false light, defamed and disparaged her character, calling into question her motives for reporting O’Reilly’s abuse to HR and ultimately being forced out at Fox News with a settlement agreement,” her lawsuit said.

A spokeswoman for Fox News did not respond to a request for comment.

Bernstein said the network also violated the settlement deal Ms. by commenting on the allegations against O’Reilly.

The agreement required that all parties only say, “The matter has been resolved or settled” if asked about the case, according to papers.

But instead, Fox News released a lengthy statement on April 1 in response to coverage of the O’Reilly allegations.

“No current or former Fox News employee ever took advantage of the 21st Century Fox hotline to raise a concern about Bill O’Reilly, even anonymously,” the statement read.

But Bernstein said that statement was “deliberately misleading” because the hotline did not exist when she worked at Fox News.

She said she complained to human resources repeatedly, but the network took no action.

O’Reilly’s downfall at Fox was preceded by the ouster of the network’s chairman, Roger Ailes, in July 2016, following allegations of sexual harassment.

In October former Fox News host Megyn Kelly called O’Reilly’s $32 million settlement “astounding” and revealed she had complained to network brass about the combative host.

“O’Reilly’s suggestion that no one ever complained about his behavior is false. I know because I complained,” she said.
