IF I HELD ON TO THAT BALL AGAINST THE PATRIOTS …

-

It’s been a productive year on the field: A career high in catches (50), yards (357) and almost touchdowns (three). I’m going to do so much more in the future. I’m only 25 years old. I’m nowhere near playing my best football. I’m still learning every single day. I think my best years are ahead of me. I really believe that. These next five, six years are going to be my best years of football.

I believed that I was going to be able to do what I’m doing right now. I really feel like I could have done more on the field. For whatever reason, it didn’t work out that way in the last few weeks, but I know I got a lot more in the tank. I can add a lot more to an offense. I can definitely be that X-factor and mismatch that no one can guard.

We’ve had some interesting moments this year. The overturned touchdown against the Patriots in Week 6 was disappointing. I felt like if I held on to that ball it would have been a whole different game. Maybe a whole different season. I take that on myself. It’s unfortunate that happened, but it’s a great lesson not only for myself and my teammates, but for other people around the league on how to respond to situations like that and not point fingers. Put the onus on yourself and move on.

As soon as the touchdown against the Panthers in Week 12 went to review (and was also overturned), I thought, ‘Oh, God. Here we go again.’ But what can you do?
