Laylay Briggs (right) was shot to death by her own father, Terrance Briggs (left), in a Brooklyn apartment where he also took the lives of his stepfather and half-brother before killing himself.

A FESTERING FAMILY feud ended in a Brooklyn bloodbath, with a deranged gunman executing his 1-year-old daughter, stepdad and half-brother before turning the gun on himself.

The bodies of Terrance Briggs and his three relatives were discovered Wednesday in the blood-spattered apartment when Briggs’ mother returned home around 5 a.m., police said.

Briggs marched methodically from room to room, pumping bullets into the heads of his victims, including helpless little Laylay Briggs, Loyd Drain Jr., 57, and his 16-yearold namesake son Loyd III.

Briggs, whose previous domestic battles with the stepdad brought cops to their home at least twice, saved the last bullet for himself, cops said.

The little girl’s mother, Olivia Callender, was away on an overnight gambling trip when the horror unfolded, police sources said.

“My baby! My baby,” the 27-year-old woman wailed at a prayer vigil outside the Riverdale Osborne Towers in Brownsville.“She’s gone. She’s not coming back. My Laylay. Oh my God,” she cried, her tear-streaked face buried in her hands.

Cops believe Briggs, 27, shot his stepfather first in the bathroom, then blasted his teen brother in a bedroom as he played video games. He finally killed his own daughter in a second bedroom.

“It breaks my heart to see them gone,” said devastated neighbor Vanessa Swain, 50. “Waking up 7 o’clock to someone telling me all of them are gone. My heart is so numb right now.”

Patricia Green, who stumbled upon the carnage, was mother to both Terrance Briggs and Loyd Drain III — the latter her child with Drain Jr.

The gunman’s father, Tyrone Briggs, 56, was devastated over the loss of his granddaughter and couldn’t comprehend what drove his son to such barbarism.

“He just lost his marbles,” the elder Briggs said.

Little Laylay “was so beautiful. She was so loved — he just lost his mind,” Briggs said.

Police told a neighbor the triple murder and suicide occurred about four hours before Green, 53, discovered the bodies.

“She’s taking it very hard,” one of Green’s grandchildren said. “She only has one son left.”

Cops recovered the apparent murder weapon inside the home, but it was not with Briggs because Green stashed it in another room, police sources said.

There was no suicide note left behind, and cops said the motive remained unclear.

But Briggs said his son and Drain were “always arguing.”

“They even argued over the cooking,” Briggs explained.

The five lived together in the fourth-floor apartment where neighbors said family members first moved in about a decade ago.

The elder Drain “was a caring person — like a happy, joyful person,” said Josh Sanders, 17, a friend of the murdered teen.

Drain Jr., a burly man known in the building as “Big Daddy,” was described by residents as the patriarch of a well-regarded clan.

“They were friendly people,” said neighbor James Walker, 62. “They were a wholesome, respectful, decent family.”

Another neighbor said Drain Jr. was a retired transit worker and a military veteran.

Juan Campos, 15, a buddy of the slain teen, howled in grief when he heard his pal was murdered.

“He was just focused on his family,” said Campos, who recalled his friend as a good basketball player. “He had very big dreams and he was smart. His dad loved him.”

Callender, though estranged from Briggs, received her mail at the address and possibly still lived there, according to police sources.
