And it’s just an absolute joy to drive around town, showing off its refinement and sleek design. The base engine is a 252-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. For our money, we’d get the 333-hp, supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that gives easily accelerates the Q7 to 60 mph in under six seconds. This is also the powertrain that gives you up to 7,700 pounds of towing capacity. All Q7s come with Quattro all-wheel drive for greater all-weather traction. Admittedly, the Q7 is not one of the more generous luxury SUVs on the market when it comes to cargo space. It supplies just 14.8 cubic-feet behind the third-row seat, 37.5 cu.-ft. behind the second-row seat, and a maximum of 71.6 cu.-ft. Storage space up front is also lacking.
Safety is a strong highlight, though, thanks to a robust vehicle architecture and a full roster of driver assistance and collision avoidance systems. Put your family in an Audi Q7 and you can be confident that you’re in one of the safest vehicles available.
