EATS:

Gold-encrusted chicken a luxurious bone-anza

- BY GINA SALAMONE

Never mind the goose that laid the golden egg — meet the chicken with the golden wings.

Foodgod 24 Karat wings, coated with the precious metal, will debut Tuesday at two Manhattan locations of the Ainsworth. The deluxe dish will appear on the menu courtesy of Jonathan Cheban — a reality TV star who has appeared on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and now calls himself Foodgod.

The prized poultry pieces are first soaked in a mixture of coconut butter, gold butter, chipotle and honey batter for 24 hours. Then, real gold flakes are sprinkled on top of the wings before they’re served with a side of gourmet dipping blue cheese.

Orders will come 10 wings for $30, or 20 wings for $60 at the Ainsworth East Village (64 Third Ave.) and the Ainsworth Chelsea (122 W. 26th St). Showoffs have the option of splurging for 50 wings plus a bottle of Champagne Armand de Brignac — for a whopping $1,000.

Cheban has a Foodgod grub site and regularly shares photos of over-the-top eats on Instagram — everything from a cotton candy burrito to a chicken buried in a mountain of salt.

The Ainsworth — with four locations total in Manhattan, plus two in New Jersey and outposts in Kansas City, Kan., and Nashville — plans to launch the wings in its other spots at a later time.

The eateries — which combine a restaurant, bar, lounge and event space — offer American fare and handcrafted cocktails.

If the 24 Karat wings haven’t reached your local Ainsworth yet, try other menu hits like the Mac & Cheese Burger (panko crusted macaroni and cheese patty, beef patty, mac and cheese, sesame bun) or the Coffee-Rubbed Fish Tacos (pineapple pico de gallo, avocado purée, corn tortilla).
