A-Rod feasts on softballs

“revolutionary” new subscriptionbased app, which will be live, he said, in time for football season. He spoke about the app at length a few times, and revealed there was some interest in joining Brent Musbuger’s sports gambling service in Las Vegas, but that never came to be.

He also did not shy away from the awful optics of his reboot.

“Obviously, at times, some people found it exceedingly clumsy,” Francesa said of the transition, “but we’re back and we’re looking forward to

If you ever wondered what it sounds like when two frauds have a conversation, you should have heard WFAN Tuesday afternoon.

Back-on Mike Francesa threw Alex Rodriguez softballs for 20 minutes as A-Rod was the first guest on the new-ish “Mike’s On” radio program Tuesday.

Rodriguez, who is an ESPN baseball analyst and a special adviser for the Yankees, asked to be the first guest on Francesa’s rebooted show.

“I told you I was one of your last guests when you left and I said ‘If you ever come back, I want to be one of your first,’” A-Rod said.

“You are the first,” Francesa said. “So, absolutely. And I know there were some forces that tried to keep you from coming to the program today, so I thank you for telling them ‘No way’ and coming to the program as planned. So I thank you.”

As an ESPN employee, suits tried to block A-Rod from appearing on WFAN, which competes against ESPN radio. A-Rod was not having it.

“I keep my promises,” Rodriguez said. “New York sports needs you.” Barf. Of course, there was no mention of the time Rodriguez lied to Francesa’s face during the interview. A-Rod has been on several times since he sat across from Francesa in 2013 and said he did not use PEDs. Last year, Rodriguez said he “made an ass” of himself during that time.

Francesa also did not bring up allegations that A-Rod is trying to slash child support for his kids because he’s not making as much money as he used to.

A-Rod is so fake that even when asked about being in a relationship with Jennifer Lopez, he was pathetically coy. “They just tell me what to do and I do it,” he said. Francesa asked if you can you hide from that celebrity.

“It’s hard to,” A-Rod said. “But we embrace it. The other thing, we went down to Puerto Rico, Mike, and raised $35 million. That’s the other side of that coin. You’re able to do a lot of good in the world, too.”
