Parkland teen says Trump’s a ... LYING SON OF A GUN!

Told fla. vics let’s curb guns

Spineless Donald is a “professional liar” who will spew anything to please an audience, says Parkland survivor Cameron Kasky (left), pointing out that the President said he’d focus on gun control after the Florida massacre.

A PARKLAND SURVIVOR panned President Trump’s NRA-pleasing plan to prevent mass shootings Saturday — labeling him a “professional liar.”

Cameron Kasky, 17, ripped into Trump one day after the President received a glowing response from the gun lobby for again endorsing the idea of arming teachers and doing away with gun-free zones.

Kasky, appearing on CNN, called Trump a liar “who will say anything to appease whatever crowd he’s at.”

“If he’s in front of families, he might say something in support of common sense gun reform,” Kasky added. “But then when he’s at the NRA, he’ll say something to get a big cheer.”

Trump’s impassioned pro-gun comments at the National Rifle Association’s annual convention in Dallas on Friday clashed with the changes he called for in the wake of the massacre at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., that left 17 people dead. “President Trump, he follows the money,” Kasky tells CNN. “And as long as he’s getting money from the NRA who, in turn, is getting money from the gun manufacturers, I wouldn’t expect anything common sense anytime soon from him.” Trump, who enjoyed the benefit of nearly $30 million in NRA funds during the 2016 election, initially appeared open to tightening federal gun laws following the Feb. 14 slaughter that sparked demonstrations across the country. Trump, headlining the gun group’s annual gathering for the fourth straight year, hailed NRA members as “true patriots” on Friday. “All of us here today are united by the same timeless values,” Trump said. “We believe that our liberty is a gift from our creator and that no

government can ever take it away. We believe in the rule of law.”

He also warned that Democrats will threaten Second Amendment rights should they succeed in winning a majoirty of seats in Congress in the midterm elections.

“Your Second Amendment rights are under siege,” the President said. “But they will never, ever be under siege as long as I’m your President.”

Trump and Vice President Pence (left) reiterated their bizarre belief that more guns will somehow save lives.

“The quickest way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun,” Pence said Friday, repeating a popular NRA slogan.

Kasky said he supports the Second Amendment — but that “there are certain weapons that do not belong in the hands of citizens, and there are certain weapons that need to be regulated.”

Meanwhile, others affected by gun violence gathered in Dallas to protest the NRA and call for gun law reform.

Fred Guttenberg, whose daughter Jaime was killed in Parkland, told the crowd at one rally that he wakes up every day with the sole purpose to “affect change in the gun control debate.”

Guttenberg spoke at a rally organized by #NoRA, a group founded by actress Alyssa Milano.

She told The Associated Press the group is “trying to shine the light on the NRA’s stronghold over policymaking in Washington.”

At another rally, Manuel Oliver, whose son Joaquin was also killed in February, unfurled a massive mural on a banner with the message: “We demand a fair game.”

David Hogg, another Stoneman Douglas student who has embraced his role as an anti-gun activist, was also critical of Trump’s speech.

“Thanks for showing us that your heart and wallet are in the same place — not with the kids of Parkland,” he tweeted on Friday.

British doctors and legislators were also angered by Trump’s pro-gun comments.

The President, at one point in his rambling speech, compared a London hospital to a war zone in the wake of an attack involving a knife.

“They don’t have guns. They have knives and instead there’s blood all over the floors of this hospital,” Trump said, noting England’s strict gun laws. “They say it’s as bad as a military war zone hospital... knives, knives, knives.”

Dr. Karim Brohi, another Royal London surgeon, said Trump’s position makes no sense.

“There is more we can all do to combat this violence, but to suggest guns are part of the solution is ridiculous,” Brohi tweeted. “Gunshot wounds are at least twice as lethal as knife injuries and more difficult to repair.”

Trump also suggested that a coordinated attack on Paris in 2015 that claimed 130 lives would have been far less deadly if Parisians had been carrying guns to protect themselves.

Former French president François Hollande called the comments “shameful” and “obscene.”
