HOW TO ENTER
1 COLLECT THE BARCODES!
Collect 21 barcodes from the spine of the Daily News between April 29, 2018 and May 19, 2018 and attach them to a sheet of paper.
2 WRITE AN ESSAY!
Kids ages 8-14 must write an essay of at least 150 words about what “Yankees tradition” means to them; kids ages 11-14 must write an essay of at least 250 words about what “Yankees tradition” means to them.
3 TURN IT IN!
All entries must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. Write the child’s name, date of birth, and grade, and a parent or guardian’s name, address, date of birth, phone number, and email address on a blank piece of paper. Send the essay, the barcodes, and the information in one envelope to Field of Dreams, 125 Theodore Conrad Drive, Jersey City, NJ 07305. Entries must be received no later than 5 p.m. on May 25, 2018.

Open to legal NY/NJ/CT residents who are twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of entry and are the parent or legal guardian of a child aged eight (8) to fourteen (14) at the time of entry. Contest begins at 12 a.m. EDT on April 29, 2018 and ends at 5 p.m. EDT on May 25, 2018. TO ENTER: A parent or legal guardian at least twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of entry (“Entrant”) may team up with his or her child, aged eight (8) to fourteen (14) years at the time of entry (“Child”), to enter the Contest. The Child will write an original essay on what New York Yankees™ tradition means to him or her (the “Essay”). Children aged eight (8) to ten (10) years must write a 150-word Essay; children aged eleven (11) to fourteen (14) must write a 250-word Essay. Additionally, a different Be A Winner barcode will be printed in the Daily News each day from April 29, 2018 through May 19, 2018. In addition to the Essay as described above, each Entrant must collect twenty-one (21) different barcodes to be eligible to enter and win. Once the Child has completed his or her Essay and the required barcodes have been collected, the Entrant must write the following on a sheet of paper: Child’s name, date of birth and grade and the Entrant’s name, date of birth, address, daytime phone, evening phone and e-mail address. The Entrant must cut out and affix the barcodes to a sheet of 8½” x 11” paper (or write the twenty-one (21) unique “Be A Winner” barcode numbers on a sheet of 8½” x 11” paper). On the back of the sheet of paper containing the Essay, the Entrant must also write the name, date of birth and grade of the Child; and the Entrant’s name, date of birth, address, daytime phone, evening phone and e-mail address. The entry form must be stapled to the sheet containing the barcodes, and together with the Essay, be mailed via first class mail in a #10 (business size) envelope to Daily News New York Yankees™ Field of Dreams Contest, 125 Theodore Conrad Drive, Jersey City, NJ 07305, Attention: Promotions Dept. Entries must be received no later than 5 p.m. EDT on May 25, 2018. LIMIT: ONLY ONE (1) ESSAY PER ENTRY AND PER CHILD, AND ONLY ONE (1) WINNING TEAM (as defined in the Official Rules) PER HOUSEHOLD.
