White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders slammed a Virginia restaurant Saturday after she was ejected from the establishment for working for President Trump.

Sanders said she was shown the door at the Red Hen in Lexington, Va. on Friday night, backing up a viral Facebook claim made by a waiter at the restaurant.

"Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left," Sanders tweeted from her official account. "Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so."

Jaike FoleySchultz, who claims to be a waiter at the restaurant, wrote about the incident on his own Facebook page.

“I just served Sarah Huckabee Sanders for a total of two minutes before my owner kicked her out along with seven of her other family members,” he posted.

Brennan Gilmore, the executive director of the progressive group Clean Virginia, tweeted a photo of a handwritten note that appeared to posted in the restaurant that included: “86 — Sara Huckabee Sanders.”

In restaurant lingo, the term “86” means to be out of something or to refuse someone service.

The incident — following a week of intense criticism over the Trump administration's contentious “zero tolerance” policy at the southern border that has separated thousands of children from their parents — led to an online firestorm of comments and reviews on the quaint farm-totable restaurant's Facebook and Yelp pages. “Don't eat here if you're a Republican, wearing a MAGA hat or a patriot. Owner refused service to Sarah Sanders simply because she works for the current administration,” one poster wrote. “How disgusting can the owner get?” Others applauded the move. “They don't serve food to fascists? I will be promoting this restaurant to anyone I know in the area,” a potential diner wrote. “Well done, owners. You are true patriots and I can't wait to try your food!”
