PHILADELPH­IA — Aaron Hicks gave Luis Severino an early lead — and the Yankees’ 24-year-old ace took care of the rest.

Hicks led off the game with a 411-foot homer to center, Severino outpitched Jake Arrieta and the Bombers rolled to their second straight victory over the Phillies, 6-0, on Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park.

Severino (12-2, 2.10 ERA) went seven shutout innings, allowing six hits while striking out nine and walking none.

Hicks, who entered the game 1-for-11 on the road trip, went 2-for-4 with his 11th homer of the year and two RBI. He has six homers in June.

Didi Gregorius also homered — his 15th — for the Bombers. Greg Bird snapped an 0-for-15 slide with an RBI single in the third. Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-4, making him nine for his last 12.

Arrieta (5-6) gave up six runs (three earned) on nine hits in five innings.

Austin Romine made a nifty slide at third, going wide to avoid a tag from Maikel Franco after a wild pitch.

TURNING POINT

Gregorius grounded into what should’ve been an inning-ending 4-6-3 double play with runners on first and second in the third. But Cesar Hernandez made a bad throw, loading the bases. Hits by Gleyber Torres and Greg Bird tallied three unearned runs.

100.6 Miles per hour on Severino’s fastball that struck out Odubel Herrera in the fourth. It was the fastest strikeout pitch by a starter this season, according to Statcast.
