5 companies to test bikes

City transportation officials on Tuesday picked five bike share companies to test dockless bikes in the outer boroughs.

Citi Bike, which runs the existing cycle program in Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn and Queens, will operate in Coney Island.

The Fordham area of the Bronx will get bikes from Jump and ofo. The North Shore of Staten Island will have bikes from Jump and Lime. The Rockaways will have bikes from Lime and Pace.

“We at DOT are excited to name companies that will bring dockless bike share to four different communities in New York City for the first time,” Transportation Commissioner Polly Trottenberg said.
