SMASH, BASH AND GRAB $13,000

- BY JOHN ANNESE

A Brooklyn restaurant manager carrying $13,000 in a paper bag found himself targeted by a group of robbers who crashed into his car and socked him in the face, cops said Monday.

The 56-year-old victim was taking the cash to a bank, and was parking his car on Flatbush Ave. near E. 32nd St. in Flatlands, when the crooks rear-ended his car with their Toyota Sienna at about 10:15 a.m. on June 11, cops said.

He confronted the Sienna's occupants, and one of the men inside socked him in the face and knocked him to the ground. Another man got out, opened the man's car door and grabbed the paper bag and a laptop, police said.

The Sienna's driver stayed at the wheel during the heist. The man who grabbed the cash hopped back in, and the Sienna peeled off, rolling up on the sidewalk as the remaining robber chased after them on foot, cops said. He caught up, and all three drove north on New York Ave. to make their escape.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
