With the bases loaded in the top of the ninth and looking like the Mets were going to blow it, Jeurys Familia got Mallex Smith to bounce to Wilmer Flores at first. Flores lolly-popped the throw to Mesoraco at home, who smartly got the tag down to nail Hunter Wood at home. Familia then struck out Willy Adams to the end the inning.
