The teams entered the fifth inning in a scoreless tie when Matt Duffy led off with a double into the rightcente­r-field gap. He advanced to third on a Daniel Robertson groundout. Wilson Ramos then chopped a grounder to shortstop. The Mets were playing in to prevent the run, but Rosario was unable to corral the bouncing ball. He was forced to throw to first after recollecti­ng, and the Mets trailed.
