This dapper punk insists he’s no bum.

A 21-year-old Manhattan College student dressed to the nines says she and her roommate were sucker-punched in Midtown by a stranger in a blue tuxedo whose only explanation was “I am not a bum!”

Courtney Canavan, her roommate Jamie Rodgers and a third pal had just hopped out of an Uber at 36th St. and Sixth Ave. when an assailant clocked her from behind.

“I feel this crazy blow to the back of my head,” Canavan said, adding that the force of the punch knocked her to the ground with enough force to bruise her hip and elbow. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. Friday.

“I was totally in a funk,” she said. “I had no idea what was happening.”

Before Canavan could explain to her friends what had occurred, she said the tux-wearing assailant reappeared yelling, “I am not a bum!” and took aim at Rodgers.

“He just punches her in the face so hard and she falls straight back,” Canavan said.

A police report indicates the attacker allegedly told Rodgers, 20, “Don’t call me homeless” before striking her.
