Ginsburg breaks ribs in office fall
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is recovering in a Washington hospital after breaking three ribs in a fall Wednesday at her office.
The court released a statement Thursday morning saying the 85-year-old liberal jurist went home after the fall, but went to George Washington University Hospital after experiencing discomfort overnight.
The court went ahead Thursday with a ceremony welcoming Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the bench.
Ginsburg broke two ribs in a fall in 2012, but returned to work shorty after the injury. She has also had two prior bouts with cancer and had a stent implanted to open a blocked artery in 2014.
