I’m no mail bomber, he tells judge

- Stephen Rex Brown

The Florida man accused of sending mail bombs to President Trump’s political enemies pleaded not guilty Wednesday and faces a trial in the summer.

Cesar Sayoc (photo), 56, entered his plea through his attorney during the brief hearing in Manhattan Federal Court.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Sam Adelsberg said the government would call experts in explosives, fingerprint and chemicals during Sayoc’s trial, which is set to start July 15 and is projected to last three weeks.

The alleged “MAGA bomber” faces up to a life sentence for allegedly sending 16 improvised explosive devices to CNN, as well as prominent Democrats, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Vice President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama.
