Robby ‘thankful’ to be back

- BY MANISH MEHTA

Robby Anderson didn’t make a tangible impact in the Jets’ 27-13 loss to the Patriots on Sunday, but he did find perspective. Anderson, who had missed two of the past three games with an ankle injury, finished with just two receptions for 22 yards on five targets.“I’m thankful,” Anderson said. “Having to deal with that injury, it gave me a chance to get my mind in a better place and made me appreciate things a little bit more. I was going through frustrations and getting mad about things I couldn’t control. So, it gave me a chance to sit back and reevaluate things.” JETS PASS ON RUN GAME

The Jets dialed up 50 pass plays and only 12 runs against a Patriots defense that allowed 150 yards in its previous game against the Titans. Offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates dialed up nearly four times as many pass plays (23) as runs (6) in the first half. Eli McGuire and Isaiah Crowell had six carries for just 13 yards in the first half before finishing with a combined 49 yards on 12 carries. IT’S OFFENSIVE

The Jets allowed at least 400 yards for a fifth time this season… Gang Green didn’t register a sack and had only one tackle for loss… Jamal Adams had team highs in solo tackles (seven) and pass break-ups (three) . ... Jason Myers became the first kicker in NFL history to make five 55+ yard field goals in one season . ... Tom Brady became the all-time leader in passing yards (including the postseason) by passing Peyton Manning.
