Springer will be TV judge
That's Judge Springer to you.
Jerry Springer, the host known for his hair-pulling, furniture-tossing talk show, is returning to television with “Judge Jerry,” a new syndicated court show.
The half-hour show will launch next fall, and will be distributed by NBCUniversal to stations covering 75% of U.S. TV households.
“Judge Jerry” will be a traditional court show likely in the vein of “Judge Judy” or “The People's Court,” with Springer, 74, presiding with a “fair yet firm hand,” according to NBCUniversal.
“For the first time in my life, I am going to be called honorable,” Springer said in a statement. “I finally get to put my law degree to use after all these years.”
