Ivanka: It’s nothing like Hil’s mess

Ivanka Trump says “lock her up” doesn’t apply to her.

During an interview with ABC News Wednesday morning, the First Daughter (photo) waved off comparisons between her use of a private email account and Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, which President Trump repeatedly seized on and condemned during his bid for the White House.

“There really is no equivalency,” she said.

“All of my emails that relate to any government work — which was mainly scheduling and logistics, and managing the fact that I have a home life and work life — are all part of the public record. They’re all stored on the White House system. Everything has been preserved and archived.”

Earlier this month, it was revealed Trump, a senior adviser at the White House, used her personal account to conduct official government business, which the President has defended. He told reporters last week that he looked into the matter and concluded “they’re all in presidential records.”

It’s a far cry from his passionate demands for justice on the campaign trail, where he dubbed Clinton a criminal for using a private server while she worked as secretary of state.

Ivanka Trump also argued that in Clinton’s case, there were mass deletions after a subpoena was issued, and again emphasized that all her emails have been stored.

“People who want to see it as the same, see it as the same,” Trump told ABC. “But that fact is, we all have private emails and personal emails to coordinate with our families, we all receive content to those emails, and there’s no prohibition from using a private email server as long as it’s archived and there’s nothing classified.”

Despite all of that, Democrats on Capitol Hill said that they “want to know if Ivanka complied” with the law and intend to continue their investigation concerning the Presidential Records Act and Federal Records Act in the next Congress.
