Fear deadly carting co. will use new name

-

Don’t let Sanitation Salvage recycle itself.

That’s the plea from critics of the shuttered carting company, who are demanding the city ensure the garbagecollector does not simply reopen under a new name.

“The Business Integrity Committee must ensure that this company is gone for good,” Councilman Antonio Reynoso (D-Brooklyn), the chair of the Council’s Committee on Sanitation and Solid Waste Management said Wednesday at a rally outside City Hall (inset).

Sanitation Salvage closed Tuesday, claiming it lost most of its revenue when the city suspended its license for a month last summer.

The BIC, which oversees private trash haulers, yanked the company’s license in August, months after it was revealed Sanitation Salvage driver Sean Spence allegedly killed two people on his route.

BIC spokeswoman Natalie Grybauskas said “there is no way” Sanitation Salvage could open under another name without the committee’s knowledge.
