Secretary held on heroin rap
A NYCHA executive’s secretary was busted for having 1,800 glassine bags of heroin and $30,000 cash in a NYCHA apartment she shares with her significant other, the Daily News has learned.
Michelle Flores, a New York City Housing Authority employee for nearly two decades making $60,000 a year, was arrested Thursday morning on possession charges for drugs found in the Ingersoll Houses home in Brooklyn she occupies with co-defendant Javier Arroyo, sources said.
Flores, 43, works for the agency’s Chief Financial Officer Plachikkat Anantharam.
Flores and Arroyo were busted while officers executed a search warrant on their apartment.
Arroyo, 44, is also charged with selling drugs to undercover cops in Downtown Brooklyn.
Flores was released without bail Thursday in Manhattan Criminal Court. The charges followed a probe by the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor, the NYPD Manhattan South Narcotics Major Case squad and the Department of Investigation.
A NYCHA spokeswoman declined to comment.
