Cardi B and Offset split

That’s a rap.

Hip-hop superstar Cardi B and her husband Offset have ended their relationship after a little over a year of marriage, and a little under five months after they welcomed their first child together.

Cardi announced the split in an Instagram video, telling her fans they’d been trying to work things out for a while to no avail.

“We’re really good friends and we’re really good business partners, and you know, he’s always somebody that I run to, to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time,” the Bronx-born Cardi says in the video.

She added that the breakup is “nobody’s fault.”

“I guess we grew out of love but we are not together anymore,” the artist said. “I don’t know, it might take time to get a divorce and I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father.”

Offset, meanwhile, commented on Cardi’s video, “Y’all won.”

Cardi and Offset — a member of the rap group Migos — welcomed their daughter Kulture, in July.
