- BY PETER SBLENDORIO AND KASSIDY VAVRA

Get ready to go Gaga.

Pop star Lady Gaga’s performance in “A Star is Born” has scored her a best actress nomination at this year’s Golden Globes.

The singer, who plays pop ingenue Ally in the film, later tweeted, “I can’t believe I’m nominated.” She is also up for best original song for her “Shallow” duet with co-star and director Bradley Cooper, himself nominated for best actor in a drama motion picture.

Award-season darling “A Star is Born” earned nominations from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in multiple coveted categories, including best motion picture-drama and best original song.

The nominees for the 2019 Golden Globes, announced Thursday morning, saw other movies such as “Vice” and “Black Panther” receiving nominations across multiple categories.

“Vice” — in which Christian Bale stars as former Vice President Dick Cheney — took the lead with six nominations, and “The Favourite,” “Green Book,” and “A Star is Born” all followed with five.

Another music-focused drama, the Queen biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody,” was also well-represented, earning a spot in the best drama film category, while its star Rami Malek — who played late frontman Freddie Mercury — was named a finalist for best actor in a drama.

“Black Panther,” the critically acclaimed Marvel blockbuster and highest-profile movie to center on a black superhero, received nominations for best motion picture-drama and best original score.

Nicole Kidman received a nomination for best actress in her role of Erin Bell in “Destroyer.”

“I am so grateful to be nominated for such an untraditional female character. Erin Bell is complicated, raw and dangerous, and it was a privilege to portray her. I share this with Karyn Kusama as well as all of the cast and crew. It was truly a passion project for all of us,” Kidman said in a statement.

On the TV front, several of the 2018 heavyweights returned with new nominations ahead of the 2019 award show.

“The Handmaid’s Tale,” which won best drama series last year, was nominated in that category once again, while its star, Elisabeth Moss, is up for best actress in a drama after taking home that trophy last year.

“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and its star Rachel Brosnahan, meanwhile, were nominated for best series and best actress, respectively, in the musical or comedy category after winning those awards in 2018.
