Father-&-son drug dealers found guilty
A federal jury on Monday convicted a father and son of dealing drugs in Brooklyn and operating a violent crew with stash houses throughout several neighborhoods.
Jurors found Tammeco Cargill, 36, and his father, Winston Cargill, 56, guilty of of racketeering and racketeering conspiracy, including predicate acts of distribution and possession of marijuana and passport fraud.
The two men face up to 20 years in prison.
“Nineties Crew members Tammeco Cargill and his father Winston Cargill have been held to account for the drug crimes inflicted on their neighborhood,” said U.S. Attorney Richard Donoghue.
Tammeco Cargill was also charged with murdering Robert Dixon during a shootout at E. 21st St. and Dorchester Road in 2007. But the jury determined that charge was “not proved,” a Donoghue spokesman said.
