Filmmaker’s accuser eyes more sex info

- BY NANCY DILLON

The publicist who claims Paul Haggis raped her inside his SoHo apartment isn’t backing down in her demand that Creative Artists Agency hand over all records of alleged sexual misconduct involving the Oscar winner.

Haleigh Breest filed new paperwork Friday defending her recent subpoena sent to the Hollywood agency — which reps Haggis (photo) — after the Canadian filmmaker best known for “Million Dollar Baby” and Crash” called it “extraordinarily broad.”

Breest said she’s not seeking all of Haggis’ previous legal activity “without limitation,” as he argued in his motion to quash the CAA subpoena.

She said her subpoena is only after legal documents and settlement agreements related to sexual misconduct — but these often include documents “written to conceal” the fact they involve allegations of sexual misconduct, she argued.

With that in mind, her subpoena “requests documents relating to legal activity that, though styled as another type of claim, actually pertain to claims of sexual assault or other sexual misconduct,” her Friday filing in Manhattan Supreme Court states.

Haggis preemptively sued Breest last December, claiming she tried to extort him for “many millions” with a false rape claim.

Breest filed a counterlawsuit hours later, claiming the Oscar winner raped her in 2013 in his Mercer St. apartment.

A judge tossed Haggis’ lawsuit over the summer.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Robert Reed said Haggis’ suit, if allowed to proceed, would have a chilling effect on other victims of sexual abuse who seek to hold their abusers accountable.

After Breest filed her claim, three other anonymous women stepped forward with abuse allegations against Haggis.

Haggis has denied any misconduct. Attempts to reach his lawyer in the case were not immediately successful Monday.
