A madman with a hammer burst into a Brooklyn Chinese buffet restaurant Tuesday, fatally bludgeoning a chef, and bashing the owner and a manager in the head, police sources said.

The 35-year-old suspect rushed into the Seaport Buffet on Emmons Ave. near E. 21st St., by the Sheepshead Bay waterfront, at about 5:15 p.m., police said.

He started screaming, then attacked three men — the 60-year-old owner, a 50year-old manager, and a 34year-old chef — and ran out, police sources said. The chef died of his injuries, police said.

The owner and manager remain in critical condition at NYU Langone-Brooklyn Hospital.

Cops arrested the attacker about two blocks away, near the Ocean Ave. Pedestrian Bridge, police said.

“It was unprovoked. It appears random. He is an emotionally disturbed person,” a police source told the Daily News.

The buffet’s customers poured out of the restaurant, screaming in horror as they rushed to warn other nearby businesses.

Kimberly Bisono, 31, who waits tables at Randazzo’s Clam Bar a block away, recalled the chaotic scene as people ran into her restaurant for cover.

“A guy who worked there ran in. He said, ‘The guy hammered the manager in the head and there’s blood everywhere,’” Bisono said. “People were rushing out. One of the customers ran in and said, ’Lock your doors. He’s attacked people with a hammer and he’s on the loose.”

Elena Randazzo, 32, whose family owns the clam bar, said the maniac walked past the restaurant as he fled.

Cops took the suspect into custody after the attack and brought him to the 61st Precinct stationhouse for questioning, police sources said.
