NO DEALING Big moves will happen this summer; Davis stuck with

For the Knicks, it was already the Summer of KD and Kyrie. Now we can officially add AD to the list. As the Knicks waived Enes Kanter and Wesley Matthews with their only trade deadline moves Thursday, the Pelicans held onto Anthony Davis to set up a crazy bidding war this summer.

More teams will undoubtedly enter the sweepstakes, but the candidates already planting seeds include the Knicks, Lakers, Celtics and Clippers.

The Knicks can’t match the quality of players of the competition (the Celtics win that category headlined by Jayson Tatum), but they own a trove of draft picks to throw into the pot. Let us play basketball. That’s all I’m saying. And now, when I don’t wanna talk to y’all, it’s a problem with me.” Woof. In summation, the Knicks this summer can trade their first-round pick (and many other assets) for Davis while also signing another max free agent.

Or, they can sign two max free agents like Durant and Irving while keeping their draft pick.

Or, they can strike out on the franchise-altering stars in free agency and make the
