15 yrs. for sick kid porn exchange
A demented Queens bodybuilder was sentenced to 15 years behind bars Thursday for paying women in the Philippines to record themselves sexually abusing and send him the sick porn through video conferencing sites.
Keith Liwanag, 27, pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a child in June. As part of the sentence meted out Thursday by Judge Jack Weinstein in Brooklyn Federal Court, he must register as a sex offender upon release.
From September to October 2016, the former LeFrak City resident paid women in the Philippines to engage in the sexual abuse on command and send videos to him over Skype and Facebook’s private messaging service. He then shared the more than 50 videos he created online.
“His use of women in the Philippines to exploit children for the production of child pornography is not just criminal, it’s evil,” said Angel Melendez, special agent-in-charge with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. “He will now serve 15 years for his unfathomable acts, facing the full justice of his actions behind bars.”
In one encounter, he told a mother he was a researcher conducting “an experiment” on maternal affection.
Liwanag wired more than $1,000 to the Philippines between March 2015 and October 2017, according to court documents.
On his Twitter page, he describes himself as an “Asian (Japanese/Filipino), Bodybuilder, Personal Trainer, Online Coach.”
