I’LL B BACK
Cardi spurns deal in flesh-den fracas, gets new Qns. court date
Grammy-winning hip-hop star Cardi B will make a Queens court encore after rejecting a plea deal in a strip club free-for-all.
The “I Like It” performer declined to plead guilty to misdemeanor assault in return for a conditional release and no jail time over a wild, bottle-tossing melee inside a Queens strip club last August. The 26-year-old Bronx-born Cardi instead departed with a May 31 date for her next Criminal Court appearance.
She could face up to one year in prison if convicted of the assault charge. She was also accused of misdemeanor reckless endangerment in the 3 a.m. battle with two female bartenders inside the Angels Strip Club.
A low-key Cardi sported sunglasses and an all-white outfit with a sleeveless tunic, pants and matching shoes for her latest court date. She played nice before, during and after her 10-minute Queens court appearance, entering and exiting the courthouse without a single word to reporters.
Superfan Briana Minore, 19, came from Howard Beach to see Cardi, and received a hello wave from the Bronx-born rapper.
“They wouldn’t let you close to her, but I was shaking,” she said after Cardi swept past. “I love her so much, I’ve been planning this day for so long. I cleared all my plans today. I wish I got closer. I told her I loved her like a hundred times.”
The chart-topping Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, was with her entourage last Aug. 29 when the brawl began in the club, with the star reportedly irate over allegations that one of the bartenders slept with her husband, Offset. A bottle, a table and a hookah pipe were allegedly thrown during the fracas.
A restraining order remains in effect against Cardi, barring her from contact with the targets of her fury: bartending sisters Jade and Baddie Gi.
