Craig hurt in filming Bond flick

- BY TIM BALK

The new James Bond flick will need to film another day.

Daniel Craig, appearing for the fifth time as the British superspy in “Bond 25,” fell while sprinting during filming and had to fly to the United States from Jamaica for X-rays, according to The Sun.

Craig’s injury will put a temporary stop on filming and adds to a lengthy list of boo-boos the 51-year-old film star has sustained while suited up as 007.

Those include lost teeth on the set of “Casino Royale,” a clipped finger and torn shoulder from“Quantum of Solace,” and a sprained knee from “Spectre.”

Craig (photo) does many of his own stunts, and he said on the “Today” show in 2015 that he trashed “three or four” Aston Martins during the shooting of “Spectre.”

The injuries have left him shaken, not deterred.

“Bond 25,” the working title for the 25th outing in the series, is slated for an April 2020 release date. Craig may want to steer clear of any more spy falls to keep to that date.

Rami Malek, fresh off piling up a slew of awards for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody,” will play the villain in the latest installment of the series, Familiar faces Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Léa Seydoux will reprise their characters.

Cary Joji Fukunaga is directing.

The film is rumored to be Craig’s last time out as Bond. He first donned the 007 tux — previously worn by Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan — in 2006’s “Casino Royale.”
