A man in a black ski mask barged into a Bronx precinct stationhouse armed with knives and saying he wanted to be shot by police, startling video shows.

Montey White, 27, burst into the lobby of the 40th Precinct stationhouse on Alexander Ave. near E. 138th St. in Mott Haven wearing the mask and a bright yellow hoodie (photo) about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, sources said.

He allegedly brandished a pair of knives at cops standing by the front desk and said he wanted to be shot by police and die, the sources said.

Two cops in the midst of processing a suspect backed up and drew their guns, surveillance video acquired by the Daily News shows. The man they were arresting, still in handcuffs, scurried to the base of a staircase toward the rear of the room to avoid White.

“Drop it! Drop it!” one cop shouted, the video shows. “Yo! Get him down! Get him down! What are you doing, man? What are you doing?”

White haltingly dropped to the floor and allowed the officers to handcuff him. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital for psychiatric evaluation and hit with a slew of charges including menacing a police officer and weapon possession.

Cops did not fire any shots or deploy a stun gun in subduing White, who sources said has eight prior arrests, including one for rape and others for weapons possession.

He was ordered released without bail when he appeared on the new charges in Bronx Criminal Court Sunday.

“Where is the stationhouse security? What if that guy had two Uzis?” one police source said. “Thank God there was two cops there effecting an arrest. If there wasn’t, that guy could have walked up on an unsuspecting cop and jammed one of those knives right in his throat.”
