He left more than his fingerprints at the crime scene.

A knife-wielding maniac stabbed a Bronx man so violently early Tuesday that he cut off part of his own finger as he plunged the blade into the victim's back, police said.

Police released video showing part of the wild attack, and are asking the public's help finding the man. Investigators also recovered the man's chopped-off finger and are hoping to identify him through his fingerprint, sources said.

Police said the bearded attacker argued with his 35-year-old victim outside Keenan's Bar and Grill on Broadway near W. 231st St. in Kingsbridge just after 1:10 a.m. Tuesday.

The victim, Papcheikh Coulibaly, was at the bar, watching a rebroadcast of a Yankees game, when he had words with his attacker on the way out, according to bar patrons and the victim's wife.

Coulibaly's wife, who declined to be identified by name, said she got a call from police just after 1:25 a.m. and rushed out to see him being loaded into an ambulance.

“He said he didn't recognize him,” she said. Coulibaly tried to walk away from the argument, and the attacker caught him off guard, knifing him twice in the shoulder and twice in the lower back, she said.

At one point the blade got stuck, so the suspect pulled it out of the victim, then partially severed a digit on his left hand, possibly his index finger, when he went for another stab, police said.

He then ran south on Broadway, and medics took the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

It wasn't clear why the men were arguing, or if they knew each other, police said. It was savry. This needs to off the et. I'm just grateful t it didn't n deadly,” victim's e said. oulibaly, o was born , as a 1-yearold son and owns an electronics store in Harlem, his wife said.

“One wound just missed his lung,” she said. “He doesn't even know what the argument was over. It was probably an ego thing.”

Police described the stabber as a Hispanic man in his mid-to-late 20s, with a beard, a large tattoo on the bottom of his right forearm and a tattoo on his upper right arm. He wore a red baseball hat, a white T-shirt and dark shorts.

Cops ask anyone with information to call (800) 577-TIPS.
