Huffman checks in to prison

It’s desperate times for actress Felicity Huffman, who’s now behind bars for her role in a college admissions scandal.

The “Desperate Housewives” star reported to the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, Calif., Tuesday to begin her 14-day sentence, her rep said in a statement.

She pleaded guilty in May after admitting to paying $15,000 to have her daughter Sophia’s SAT answers corrected, prosecutors said. Sophia was also given more time on the test than typically allotted.

“Ms. Huffman is prepared to serve the term of imprisonment Judge Talwani ordered as one part of the punishment she imposed for Ms. Huffman’s actions,” her spokesman said. “She will begin serving the remainder of the sentence Judge Talwani imposed — one year of supervised release, with conditions including 250 hours of community service — when she is released.”

The actress (photo), 56, also must pay a $30,00 fine.

“I can promise you that in the months and years to come that I will try and live a more honest life, serve as a better role model for my daughters and family and continue to contribute my time and energies wherever I am needed,” Huffman said at her sentencing in September.

“My hope now is that my family, my friends and my community will forgive me for my actions.”

Among the 50 people charged in the so-called Varsity Blues scandal is “Full House” actress Lori Loughlin, who has pleaded not guilty to money laundering and conspiracy charges and remains free on $1 million bail.
