Don sends nasty ‘Dear Nancy’ letter

- BY CHRIS SOMMERFELDT

The Witch Hunt has become the Witch Trial.

President Trump sent a belligerent letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on the eve of his all but certain impeachment, claiming he’s been treated worse than “those accused in the Salem Witch Trials.”

“I have been deprived of basic Constitutional Due Process from the beginning of this impeachment scam right up until the present,” Trump outlandishly claimed in the six-page letter filled with exclamation points. “More due process was afforded to those accused in the Salem Witch Trials.”

Trump was offered the opportunity to present a defense in the House Judiciary Committee’s impeachment proceedings but refused to do so.

During the Salem trials in rural Massachusetts in the late 1600s, 19 people were executed by hanging because they were accused of witchcraft.

No one has been killed in he House impeachment inquiry into Trump’s attempt to hake down Ukraine for politcally motivated investigations before the 2020 election.

Nonetheless, Trump porrayed himself as the victim of one of the gravest injustices in history.

In the letter, he claimed Democrats had found “NOTHING!” in their impeachment investigation and hat they only embarked on he solemn proceedings in an attempt to “steal the election of 2020!”

“You view democracy as your enemy!” he wrote.

In a bizarre twist, Trump even accused the Democrats of engaging in the very conduct that he’s been accused of: abuse of power.

“I have no doubt the American people will hold you and he Democrats fully responsibly in the upcoming 2020 election,” he wrote. “They will not soon forgive your perverion of justice and abuse of power.”

Pelosi told reporters Tuesday evening she hadn’t read Trump’s whole missive, but aid she had seen enough.

“I’ve seen the essence of it, and it’s really sick,” she said.
