Odell: I’m staying in Cleveland

- BY SARAH VALENZUELA

Forget what you heard or think you heard.

Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. set the record straight. He claims he is staying in Cleveland despite reports he and pal Jarvis Landry told Cardinals players to “come get me” — as in “take me to play in Arizona with you.”

“I’m not going anywhere,” Beckham told reporters Wednesday. “I’ll be here. We’re going to figure this thing out. It’s too special to leave.”

When asked if that meant in 2020, the ex-Giants star added:

“Yeah, we’re going to be here. We’re going to do it again. And we’re going to be what we felt like we should’ve been.”

He also appeared to get in a little dig at his former GM Dave Gettleman.

“I didn’t buy a house to sell it,” Beckham said and then he threw some shade at the double-talk of the man who traded him to Cleveland.

“I know people have said I didn’t sign him to trade him before, but I didn’t really buy a house here to up and leave it.”

Beckham was traded in March despite having been signed to a five-year, $90 million contract the previous August.

Beckham, Landry and other Browns players have denied saying they told Cardinals players they wanted out when the two teams tangled on Sunday.

Landry was seen yelling at head coach Freddie Kitchens on the sideline, which added to the tension within the team.

Earlier in the month, Beckham said: “What’s the future hold? I don’t know.’’

A few days after those comments, it was revealed Beckham had been playing with a sports hernia throughout the season — an injury that may require surgery.
