Cops: Tattooed gunman robbing B’klyn cabbies
Cops were scouring the area Friday looking for surveillance footage that could help identify the gunman.
Police were looking for a pistol-packing perp wanted for holding up seven Brooklyn cab drivers in nine days, officials said.
Cops on Thursday released surveillance video of the tattooed suspect pulling a gun on one cabbie during his robbery spree that began on July 28 and targeted victims in Mill Basin, Coney Island, Brownsville and East New York.
In each case, the gunman (inset), usually wearing a surgical mask with tattoos on his right arm, gets into the cab and demands cash from the driver at gunpoint, police said. None of the victims were harmed during the seven heists.
The amount of money taken from each victim was not immediately disclosed.

He held up a cab driver near the corner of Avenue K and E. 54th St. at 11:55 p.m., then an hour later robbed a cabbie eight blocks away on E. 59th St. and Avenue J, cops said. By 2:20 a.m., he was in Coney Island, robbing a cab driver on W. 33rd St., police said.
The suspect surfaced in East New York just before midnight that Wednesday, when he robbed a cab driver on Jerome St. near Dumont Ave.
His crimes resumed on Monday when he robbed a cab driver on Linwood St. in East New York at 10:10 p.m., cops said. Two days later, he robbed two cabbies within an hour and a half on both Bristol St. and Osborn St. in Brownsville, cops said.
