A Bronx dad killed in a “coldhearted” Harlem shooting spent his final hours having dinner with his mother and his girlfriend, and chatting with his siblings, his heartbroken mom said — a violent death that was “no fault of his own.”

Paris Hayes, 30, held down two jobs and avoided the violence and gangs that plagued the South Bronx neighborhood where he grew up, Hayes’ mother, Lashawn Black-Ferguson, 51, told the Daily News.

“This was absolutely no fault of his own,” she said. “He was just outside being a young man that likes to be outside with his friends.”

A young woman who went to a Washington Heights apartment to pick a fight with her pal’s ex-girlfriend died after the woman she challenged repeatedly stabbed her Tuesday, police sources and the attacker’s friends said.

The 20-year-old victim, who lived in Queens, showed up at her foe’s apartment on W. 163rd St. and Amsterdam chest on W. 128th St. near Lenox Ave. just before 1 a.m. on Saturday. Medics rushed him to Harlem Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved.

Ave. about 4:30 p.m., sources said. But her target, Kayla Armand, also 20, was armed with a knife and repeatedly stabbed her, police sources said. The victim came to the apartment to fight at the request of Armand’s ex, Armand’s close friend Evelyn Figueroa told the Daily News.

“Kayla got into a dispute with her ex-girlfriend because her ex cheated on her,” Figueroa said. The ex would stay overnight in her studio apartment, but Armand recently booted her out, Figueroa said.

”Kayla asked her to leave several times,” Figueroa said. “She was in her house watching television and minding her own business. Her ex called some girls over to fight her.”

Armand didn’t know the woman who showed up, Figueroa said.

“She was defending herself,” Figueroa said.

Medics took her to Harlem Hospital, but she couldn’t be saved. Police did not immediately release her name. Police took Armand into custody. Charges against her were pending.
