A Bronx man was charged with murder Tuesday for a bloody Bronx nightclub shooting that killed a 19-year-old woman — grabbing him as he was about to board a plane with a one-way ticket out of the country, authorities said.

Domingo Berroa, 32, was taken into custody about 8 a.m. as he was boarding a flight at Kennedy Airport bound for the Dominican Republic, a source with knowledge of the case said.

He was charged Tuesday with murder.

Berroa was accused of unleashing a hail of bullets inside the MixTec nightclub on Jerome Ave. near Kingsbridge Road around 7 a.m. Monday, as victim Wendolin Ortiz and about 30 other guests attended a late-night celebration.

Ortiz was blasted in the chest. A 28-year-old man was shot in the right arm while another man, 30, was hit three times in the spray of bullets. A third man dodged injury when a stray bullet hit his parked car moments after he had gotten out.

Medics rushed all three victims to St. Barnabas Hospital, but Ortiz could not be saved. The other two victims were expected to survive.

The young woman’s stepfather told the Daily News on Tuesday that he was heartened at the development, even as Ortiz’s family has been shattered by her death.

“They got him at the airport — he was ready to flee,” said stepdad Ely Alpaca, 45, who operates a plumbing business. “We’re happy, but we’re still dealing with her funeral arrangements. We want to know why, and we want the club closed.”

It was not immediately disclosed if the gunman had targeted Ortiz.

Alpaca told The News on Monday night, however, that she was hit by a stray bullet.

“She was hanging out with a promoter and she got shot. She was not the target,” Alpaca asserted. “It started outside and it escalated. He started shooting inside the club.”

“We don’t have any real answers,” he said. “It’s a bad dream.”

The gunman fled the scene in a silver Acura with New Jersey plates, police said.

Ortiz graduated from Satellite Academy High School, and was planning to start a beauty supply business selling eyelash extensions.

“She was my loving angel. She was my heart and soul. She was such a good girl. She was my only child,” said her mother, Sonia Martinez, 35.
